Summer Equestrian Program
2021


Our Summer Equestrian Program is designed for boys and girls ages 6 and up, whether you are new to horses or an experienced rider. We offer qualified instructors and experienced horses!

Daily Riding Lessons
1 hr group lessons
Riding in the arenas and on trails.
Developing balanced, confident and educated riders.
Flat and jumping lessons!

Horsemanship
Learn what it takes to care for a horse daily to include, bringing horses to and from pasture, stall cleaning, feeding and more. Hands on experience!
Use techniques for grooming and bathing for horse shows.
Learn to braid.
Learn to bandage.
Learn tack cleaning skills.
Riders will learn and review basic horse knowledge, nutrition, conformation, hoof/shoeing, Bandaging, horse health and more!
Review the equestrian disciplines!

Horses
You can ride one of our school horses or ask about bringing your own!
Our school horses range from 12 hand ponies to 16.3 hand horses.

6/21 - 6/25 - Summer Eventing Experience
This camp is for riders riding over fences and interested in eventing. Ask us for a registration form!

Time: 9am - 1pm
Age: 6 - 18, preschool riders that are currently enrolled in lessons at ODF are accepted.
Pricing: $450 ($250 deposit due with registration and $200 due 7/1/21)
Experience: Riders with no horse experienced through educated equestrians are welcome.
Attire: Campers are required to wear boots with a hard flat sole and 1/2 inch heel that covers the ankles (a paddock boot). SNEAKERS ARE NOT ALLOWED. Long close fitting pants are required during mounted lessons (breeches, leggings, jeans). ASTM/SEI approved helmets are required while mounted. (We can provide helmets)
What to bring: An extra change of clothes, snacks, water, sunscreen and bug spray!
